The Vice President of Marketing and Sales will accelerate the growth of the business by leading, developing, and implementing business growth strategies directly aligned with the goals of the organization. The primary objectives for this position are to develop strategic accounts while growing our business in a complex marketplace. The VP is responsible for expanding the existing client base by managing all aspects of the sales process. This will include driving on-going revenue from existing clients as well as identifying and securing new accounts through own marketing and prospecting.
Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement
Develop and instill a “Customer Service” attitude throughout AltaMed Sales & Marketing Team.
Oversee the sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth in all lines of business
Responsible for all administrative and operational activities associated with an AltaMed product line including business development, volume growth, and Payer mix improvement in conjunction with operations management.
Define optimal sales force structure
Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
Develops policies & procedures for all Sales & Marketing efforts.
Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
Manage and build key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
Ensure adherence to external and internal regulations and policies & procedures
Work closely with business development division to develop implement enterprises marketing strategies while being aware of all budgetary restraints and grant management criteria.
Authorization/coordination of AltaMed’s participation in health fairs, community presentations and other community outreach activities to meet or exceed the goals of AltaMed.
Ensure consistent marketing/AltaMed image on all brochures, fliers, newspaper ads, and other collateral materials.
Assist with crisis intervention as needed to guide staff with problem resolution.
MBA, MHA, MPH, or degree in closely related field preferred.
Minimum of seven years of demonstrated and progressive marketing, sales and/or business development experience.
Minimum of five years managing, developing and growing human capital.
Demonstrated experience leading a salesforce and marketing team with proven results in driving revenue and market share growth through designing and executing effective sales plans.
Knowledge and experience in Healthcare, particularly with the California Market.
Must complete PACE marketing training and attain minimum 90% score on State DHS Marketing Representative Examination.
