Under the direction of the Director, Applications, the Clinical Applications Manager is responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of AltaMed’s clinical applications, including the electronic medical record (EMR), and related systems and applications necessary for business operations. Recruits, trains, motivates, evaluates and retains staff. Coaches and mentors staff in the execution of their responsibilities with the goal of creating a highly functioning team of experts. Creates and maintains a teamwork environment conducive to productive output, successful staff advancement and a rewarding work experience. Conducts comprehensive project and support work status reviews. Communicates appropriate project and support status and outcomes to leadership. Enforces quality standards to assure project and support work meets organizational and leadership expectations and goals. Recommends and implements process improvements to increase efficiency and quality. Supports capacity planning activities, including quality control of data used, working with other departments and staff. Works to develop, review, revise and enforce departmental policies, procedures and processes to advance the mission of IS and AltaMed Health Services Corp. Responsible for managing vendor relationships and conformance to contracts.
