Under the direction and oversight of the Director of Strategic Change Management, the Change Management Specialist coordinates initiatives, projects and activities that support organizational change that are key to execution of AltaMed’s Enterprise Strategy. In this role, the Specialist will collaborate with leaders from administrative and functional units to support the deployment and execution of activities and tactics that drive changes in organizational culture and management processes. The Specialist will engage with both internal and external subject matter experts, functional leaders, and initiative sponsors to document and monitor initiative progress, evaluate initiative outcomes, and as a member of the Change Management team participate in planning and development of new initiatives. The Specialist will also collaborate with colleagues from the Office for Strategy Execution and Analytics to align Change Management Initiatives to the enterprise strategy to support achievement of enterprise strategic goals. Additionally, the Specialist will serve as a Change Management Subject Matter Expert and provide ongoing support to other functional leaders in the planning and deployment of their change initiatives and activities.



  1. Support planning and development of change management initiatives
  2. Coordinate and collaborate with functional leaders, consulting partners and subject matter experts and initiative teams in deploying change management initiatives.
  3. Develop and Maintain detailed project plans defining initiative swim lanes and work streams; key milestones, tasks and activities; individuals responsible for completing identified activities, and activity dependencies.
  4. Develop comprehensive initiative communication plans and maintain communication tools for informing initiative sponsors, leads, team members and consulting partners
  5. Coordinate initiative meetings, events and maintain meeting calendars.
  6. Prepare and/or edit meeting agendas, minutes, presentations, plans, spreadsheets and reports.
  7. Maintain an organized and up-to-date sharepoint website with most up-to-date schedule, tools, documents, etc.
  8. Serve as subject matter expert in overall change management process
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.


  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Management, Healthcare Administration or related field is required.
  2. Master’s degree in Business, Organizational Management, Healthcare or similar discipline will be given preference.
  3. Minimum of 3 years experience required in change management, organizational design, process reengineering or similar experience leading organizational change initiatives with cross-functional teams
  4. Business consulting experience with a major firm strongly preferred.
  5. Certification in Six Sigma or Project Management preferred.
