Overview

Under the direction and oversight of the Vice President Strategy Execution & Analytics, the Director, Strategic Change Initiatives provides leadership in the deployment of enterprise-wide organizational change projects and initiatives that are key to execution of AltaMed’s Enterprise Strategy. The Director, Strategic Change Initiatives provides organizational leadership and serves as a subject matter expert in planning and executing change that supports achieving greater customer value, operational efficiency and health outcomes as AltaMed continues to evolve in a rapidly changing health care environment. In this role, the Director leads the deployment of a consistent standard change management methodology for assessing, planning, communicating, implementing and evaluating enterprise-wide change initiatives and projects. Within this capacity, this role collaborates with leadership and inter-departmental teams to effectively execute change initiatives and align functional work processes in the adoption of change to maximize results. As a leader in the Office for Strategy Execution and Analytics, this role will collaborate with other departmental leaders the support the planning and deployment of enterprise-wide Strategic Planning, Project Management, and Market Research activities. As an organizational Change Management subject matter expert, this role will provide leadership, coaching and support to other organizational leaders in the planning and deployment of functional unit change initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the development, deployment and reinforcement of standard change management approaches enterprise-wide.
  2. Leads enterprise-wide Change Management Initiatives and Projects, including planning, communicating, executing, and evaluation.
  3. Defines, develops and standardizes enterprise-wide change management practices, governance and reporting processes
  4. Collaborates with Executive and Senior Leaders in evaluating organizational effectiveness in deployment of change initiatives and adapts change management approaches based on best practices and lessons learned
  5. Provides leadership and subject matter expertise to functional leaders, consulting partners, project teams, and work teams in the assessment, planning, execution and evaluation of initiatives and projects that impact work processes.
  6. Partner with functional unit leaders in developing plans to improve awareness, communication, and adoption of change.
  7. Serve as organizational subject matter expert in overall change management process
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Master’s degree in business, health administration, organizational design, or related field is required.
  2. Minimum of 6 years experience leading and/or managing organizational change, design, or process design initiatives OR intimate experience with clinical and/or business processes in healthcare industry.
  3. Change Management or Organizational Design or similar certification required
  4. Project Management or Process Improvement (Six Sigma or similar) certification preferred.
  5. Experience in Business Consulting with major firm or Healthcare Leadership experience strongly preferred.
