Overview

The Aging Services and Product Development Senior Business Analyst is responsible for creating a monitoring and oversight plans for all metrics identified in a newly established and evolving department. The Senior Analyst is a key partner in developing performance indicators to measure progress against goals, summarizes and creates detailed performance reports. The position leads and evaluates analysis to produce optimal business results and may lead other Business Analysts. This position will develop a process for gathering data reporting requirements, business process requirements, gather and report operational metrics, engage inter-departmental peers and management to interpret performance data and develop recommendations for improvements. The analyst is a lead contributor to designing reporting dashboards and executing them for senior and executive management and is responsible for gathering system enhancement recommendations to teams supporting enterprise business software applications and infrastructure projects as needed. The Business Analyst is a key contributor to the short and long term strategic direction of the team.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage data analysis reports including predictive analytics reports that support senior member growth and retention.
  2. Gather requirements and create performance dashboards for senior and executive management
  3. Create, analyze, monitor and report on key performance indicators of end-to-end process of service requirements for the senior member
  4. Identify cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities in service offerings
  5. Interpret and summarize inter-departmental analytics reports
  6. Strategize with business unit to identify optimal data solutions and processes, while leveraging existing enterprise platforms. Recommend analysis of business processes: current state analysis, gap analysis, benchmarking, best practices identification
  7. Make recommendations for process and savings opportunities
  8. Synthesize information to substantiate recommendations
  9. Communicate with team, management, and IT team for system improvement solutions
  10. Examine best practices and monitor industry trends in various fields to accomplish business objectives
  11. Recommend and provide guidance on departmental process improvements and identify benefits (savings, quality, efficiency, etc)
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, health care management, statistics, organizational management is required.

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, project coordination activities and designing end-to-end business processes in

    an outpatient clinic is required.

    a. setting, managed care plan/environment and/or enterprise support department

3. Understanding of process improvement methodology is desirable (e.g. Lean, Six sigma, or TQM)
