Overview

The Grant Supervisor, Program-Women’s Health , under the direct supervision of the Program Manager-Women’s Health, is responsible for the administration, coordination, supervision and clinical integration of grant activities. Duties include implementation of the overall grant goals and objectives, assisting with teaching and training, preparation and monitoring of policies and procedures, interfacing with community collaborators, fiscal management, clinic operations and logistics. Serves as a liaison between the Medical Providers, Clinic Administrators, and Grant(s) personnel as required. Position requires an individual skilled in family planning counseling and methods, pregnancy prevention, and outreach. The Supervisor will assist the Program Manager-Women’s Health as needed to achieve standardization across the Medical Group. The Supervisor leads the grant to function effectively with all other impacted departments as well as serve as a referral resource for other AltaMed programs.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Provide and participate in appropriate staff meetings, and grant required education and/or training.
  2. Supervises the work of grant personnel, including Health Educators. Includes hiring/terminating, as well, as responsibility for planning and scheduling work, discipline/performance management and salary recommendations.
  3. Maintain and update program policies/procedures and audits. Coordinate distribution and in-services for supporting clinical and outreach staff
  4. Monitor the fiscal components of the program and maintain fiscal compliance and reporting in collaboration with corporate accounting department.
  5. Comply with grant and AltaMed enterprise goals.
  6. Lead and establish the seamless integration of community linkages to promote and facilitate access to preventive health care utilization by program participants.
  7. Develop, maintain and expand collaborations with multiple community agencies.
  8. Participate at Women’s Health Clinical Site Meetings, to share any updates that are specific to the effective management and fidelity of Grants.
  9. Participate with Health Education Department, Youth Services and Clinic Women’s Health Staff in evaluating program outreach and educational materials.
  10. This position represents the clinic in all matters dealing with the delivery of Women’s Health services and WOrks closely with the Clinic Administrator, Women’s Health Program Manager, Medical Providers, and Nursing staff to develop and implement the goals and objectives for the various programs and services represented.
  11. Oversees the utilization of services for all Women’s Health Providers to ensure the maximum benefit of each client (Male & Female) and within the standards of the Family P.A.C.T., Title X and CPSP guidelines or other regulations required by the awarded grant.
  12. Empowers and directs all program staff to act as a patient advocate by providing the most comprehensive, quality services available and conducts group and individual education and counseling sessions within the clinic as well for outside organizations as requested.
  13. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. High School diploma required. Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Community Programming, Health Administration, Business and other health related fields preferred.
  2. 2-3 years experience as a family planning program supervisor or coordinator or outreach coordinator. Previous experience in grants management also preferred.
  3. Must complete with a passing grade the Basic Health Worker provided course offered by Essential Access Health and have the required hours completed working in the CPSP program.
