Overview

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst will provide technical leadership within AltaMed’s Information Services (IS) Application Support and Development (ASD) Team by leading the strategy, planning, and execution of system and data integration testing within the Clinical Applications, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Analytics Teams.

 

The Analyst will have primary responsibility for the end to end integration testing within the IS ASD Clinical Applications, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Analytics portfolios. The position will report to the Clinical Applications Manager but will have cross functional accountability to the Business Intelligence and Enterprise Analytics Teams to ensure optimization of integrated production clinical systems, enterprise data warehouse and reporting processes to meet AltaMed needs. The Analyst will be responsible for aligning Business and IT quality assurance measures on projects, enhancements, upgrades, problem/incident management and defect remediation to achieve departmental and corporate goals.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Provides leadership throughout the Solution Testing Lifecycle (STLC) inclusive of Unit, Functional, Data, Environment, User Acceptance, Integration and Staging
  2. Defines, implements and executes quality assurance strategy, plans, execution, and metrics program within the department
  3. Analyzes, validates, and implements standard artifacts, deliverables, procedures, and processes related to all changes and remediation activities within IS ASD
  4. Performs risk assessments and other feedback to management on project and production support risk mitigation, identify and address gaps, and recommend improvements throughout the STLC
  5. Executes project and production support quality assurance regarding source code, environments, test data, system/data design and integration through analysis, manual/automated testing, leveraging tools, test files, and test case development and best practices
  6. Manages the assessment and matures change management processes, tools, and policies.

 

Qualifications

  1. Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Business Administration, related field; or 7 years’ experience working as a quality assurance lead in an IT Healthcare setting.

  2. 7 years healthcare technology experience, including 3 years professional experience in health information systems within a clinical setting.

  3. 5 years of proven experience leading end to end STLC strategy, planning, and execution with application of quality assurance best practices, processes, and tools.

  4. 5 years combined STLC experience in Clinical Systems, Data Warehouse and Enterprise Analytics domains.

  5. 10 years combined advanced Microsoft SQL, .Net, SSRS, Cognos, Tableau, and EMR technologies

  6. 7 years proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with IT and Business stakeholders, and technical teams.

  7. 7 years managing and leading STLC artifacts, processes, procedures, deliverables and metrics

  8. 7 years mapping requirements, technical design, and system/data workflows, while creating and maintaining rule sets, test cases and test scripts manually and automated.

  9. 7 years of combined project, enhancement, upgrade, incident, problem, and defect quality assurance experience.

  10. 5 years experience providing risk avoidance feedback through proactive analysis.

  11. 3 years experience developing, maintaining, and optimizing Quality Assurance metric benchmarks and process audits/controls.
