This position is responsible for monitoring, assessment, validation and implementation of dental clinic standard operating procedures to ensure alignment to organizational goals and action items as detailed in the Leadership Evaluation Manager. Analyzes deployment of standard processes and procedures enacted to improve patient satisfaction, maximize productivity, increase efficiencies and exceed quality goals. Partners with site supervisors to measure progress against goals, identify trends, implement process improvements and make recommendations for required training or performance management. The Dental Program Specialist provides support and expertise for dental systems applications and may be asked to serve as temporary backfill for absences or vacancies in site leadership. Responsible for effective management, utilization and engagement of regional float and per diem staff.




  1. Responsible for standardization of clinic processes and patient flow for the dental locations.
  2. Reviews performance metrics and reporting to facilitate process improvement and maximize efficiency.
  3. Partners with Dental Supervisors and TTU team to oversee training and development of new staff in order to build effective teams.
  4. Spends a minimum of 3 days per week in dental clinic sites validating compliance with policies and procedures
  5. Develops and Completes site visit log aligned with 90 day action plans to submit to Assistant Director Dental Administration.
  6. Assesses, validates and implements standard operations practices in alliance with the strategic plan of the organization.
  7. Partners with stakeholders to analyze processes and make data driven recommendations for process improvement.
  8. Collaborates with site level leadership to coordinate appropriate patient and clinic flow.
  9. Oversees the start-up of new offices as it relates to staffing, training, and systems. Oversees the start up of new offices as it relates to Front office staffing, training, and systems.
  10. Assist with coverage when supervisors are on leave or PTO
  11. Partners with Director Dental Administration to effectively recruit, manage and support engagement of contingent workforce.
  12. Evaluates dental site workflows to conduct root cause analysis to maximize productivity, minimize cost and exceed Quality goals.
  13. Develops and implements optimal processes, policies and procedures that align with organizational goals in Service, Quality and Finance.
  14. Partners with other departments to develop all Dental related training materials.
  15. Partners with other Access Specialists on evaluation, development and implementation of workflow improvements as needed to fully integrate all Health Services business lines.
  16. Supports operational and systems training by overseeing the development of training materials to ensure standardized and optimal Dental Program Operations.
  17. Perform all other related duties as assigned.



  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, healthcare, organizational management or equivalent work experience required.
  2. Minimum 5 years in Dental Practice Management.
  3. Dental operations process improvement and Dental Health Information Technology experience strongly preferred.
  4. Six Sigma Green Belt certification/LEAN process improvement experience strongly preferred.
