    Under the direction of the brand manager, with input from the senior designer, this position is responsible for designing creative content that represents and promotes AltaMed. General responsibilities will include: campaign concepting and development that reaches across traditional and new mediums, researching/developing and producing concepts across mediums, general layout design, production and final file preparation for print, TV and digital media and photo/illustration research and retouching. Creativity and a certain degree of creative initiative is required.



    1. Work closely with Director, Managers, and other team members to visualize specific ideas and designs for a given project.
    2. Generate unique creative and visual solutions that achieve company goals in a constantly changing competitive landscape and evolving brand.
    3. Maintain brand standards while producing content and design for internal clients, campaigns and initiatives.
    4. Visually interpret ideas from briefs.
    5. Concepting - Imagine, develop and present complete campaign concepts.
    6. Research specific artistic needs and ideas for projects and illustrations.
    7. Create and modify illustrations, icons and existing materials as well as building out the library for each.
    8. Create visually effective web and print marketing and communications to include constant contact, Facebook & digital ads, AltaMed TV, screen savers, and collateral.
    9. Follow projects through every step of the process from idea conception, to final publishing.
    10. Take photos as assigned and needed for projects.
    11. Review and maintain photographs for file quality assurance by resizing, retouching and color correcting as needed.
    12. Maintain brand photo library, style guides, campaign pages and files for all creative assets and resources.
    13. Help develop campaign decks, corporate presentations and branded documents that present information in a clear articulate manner.
    14. Identify efficiency opportunities within the design process and cross-functional workflow to always maintain deadlines.
    15. Work with internal clients as needed.
    16. Act as a resource for employees for learning and understanding AltaMed’s branding strategies and initiatives.
    17. Maintain updates to status reports on efforts.
    18. Perform other related duties as assigned.



    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Certificate at a reputable art school.
    2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in design, preferably as an in-house graphic designer in a corporate setting. Experience in an advertising agency is a plus.
    3. Experience in corporate branding including the development of logos, typography, color palette; brand standards and creative guidelines for consistent implementation in all media.
    4. Experience with production, ability to produce print ready artwork.
    5. Experience with photography.
    6. Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking.
    7. Knowledgeable on current design trends and industry standards.
    8. Design portfolio required.
    9. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
    10. Health care background preferred.
