    The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for ensuring delivery of best practice talent acquisition support across AltaMed. The Director participates in the development and execution of AltaMed’s recruiting strategy that is aligned with, leverages and reinforces AltaMed’s current and future business and growth strategies. Working in partnership with key business leaders and functions throughout the organization, this position will lead in the development, execution and anchoring of innovative sourcing and recruiting programs that will enable AltaMed to attract high quality talent for all areas of the organization and position AltaMed as an employer of choice.

     

    The Director of Talent Acquisition oversees the Talent Acquisition Managers over recruiting and recruitment operations to ensure delivery of full cycle of talent acquisition services from pre-recruitment through recruitment intake, sourcing, assessment, interviewing and selection, up to orientation. This will include overseeing the development and management of recruitment channels, outreach efforts, branding and social media initiatives, AltaMed’s career site and Applicant Tracking System (ATS), hiring manager training and customer service, and candidate care. This will be accomplished partnering with stakeholders including client groups and HR functions such as HRBP’s, Total Rewards, Talent Management, Strategic Workforce Planning and HR Systems. The Director of Talent Acquisition is also responsible for overseeing vendor management and leading the development and execution of recruiting analytics and reporting.

    Responsibilities

    1. Work with the AVP Talent Acquisition and Talent Acquisition team, Human Resources Leadership, AltaMed senior leaders and other line managers to partner on the development and implementation of Talent Acquisition vision and strategies to ensure the successful sourcing, recruitment and retention of targeted professional-level talent internally and externally
    2. Ensure the recruiting function is appropriately staffed, structured and supported to meet the evolving needs of our business, taking into consideration region, service line support and talent supply/market patterns.
    3. Lead the development, execution, support and anchoring of innovative Physician, Nursing and other key hire sourcing, recruiting and hiring programs across the organization.
    4. Oversee the building of effective recruitment pipelines with special emphasis on clinical positions partnering with Strategic Workforce Planning and Talent Management to articulate and optimize the build or buy proposition. Strong emphasis on outreach to schools and universities, professional associations, diversity sources and community outreach to meet pipeline needs while building a highly talented and diverse workforce.
    5. Collaborate with Marketing, Branding and HR to develop and drive a strong employment brand that positions AltaMed as an employer of choice among professional communities and passive applicants, including the optimization of our social media approach. Ensure advertising and job-posting approach reflects AltaMed’s employment value proposition while meeting the strategic needs of the business as well as recruiters in the field.
    6. Ensure consistent messaging across all employment marketing, job postings, and communications, leveraging social media and innovative channels to drive messaging and attraction to AltaMed’s employment brand.
    7. Ensure implementation of AltaMed Hiring Excellence Process across the organization to optimize recruitment and selection efforts to improve quality of hire, time to fill, cost per hire measures.
    8. Build hiring manager customer service and candidate care programs to increase the level of hiring manager and customer satisfaction.
    9. Oversee Recruitment operations to ensure efficient and effective back-office support for all recruitment activities, including new hire process, background and reference checks, recruitment systems, reporting and analytics, budgeting and vendor management.
    10. Oversee management of the AltaMed contingent workforce to ensure effective delivery of quality talent while minimizing cost.
    11. Oversee effective optimization of Applicant Tracking system working with IT to maximize effective and efficient recruiting-focusedtechnology.
    12. Build relevant metrics, reporting and analytics to drive recruitment activity and provide measurements and reporting to Leadership team and key stakeholders as needed.
    13. Act as an advisor to recruiting team members, providing functional expertise, market-related intelligence, coaching, training, direction and support.
    14. Develop an ongoing training approach to ensure recruiters and hiring managers have the knowledge and tools they need to be successful. Training should include compliance with HR/Legal policies, effective sourcing methods and technologies, articulation of the AltaMed employment value proposition, salary negotiations, closing the candidate, etc.
    15. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
    2. 10 years of progressive Talent Acquisition and HR experience.
    3. Healthcare experience a plus.
    4. Bi-lingual Spanish / English, HR Certification a plus.
