  • Overview

    Responsible for creating and managing market research data used to improve the delivery of AltaMed’s care and services.  Engages in direct research and conducts market studies to better understand customer and market perspectives, expectations, and behaviors.  Responsibilities includes creating, gathering, analyzing and reporting on market data that supports AltaMed’s strategic patient retention, quality and process improvement, and growth initiatives.  Responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners, and supporting the planning, development and implementation of key customer focused initiatives. 


    1. Creates and manages primary customer and market data through surveys, focus groups and other data collection and research methods.

    2. Gathers and Analyzes customer and market research data, including clinical, demographic and psychographic data, to support Strategic Initiatives and achievement of AltaMed’s Strategic Goals and Objectives

    3. Creates and presents summary level analysis and presentations to stakeholders, executive leadership and managers, internal and external partners on customer and market data, trends, and perspectives.

    4. Reviews health policy, public health, business and other journals and periodicals to stay current and informed on issues that can impact health care customer and patient experiences or the health care market.

    5. Cultivates and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners to support collaborative activities related to customer focused initiatives.

    6. Manages a virtual library of customer and market data and information for use by both internal and external stakeholders.

    7. Partners with Office for Strategy Execution and Analytics staff to lead and support projects that support achievement and execution of AltaMed’s strategic goals and objectives.

    8. Performs other related duties as assigned.


    1. Bachelor’s of Science in public health, health administration, business administration, or related field required.  M.A. degree preferred.

    2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in demographic and market research data analysis required.  Experience in creation of primary customer/market data preferred.
