    Dedicated and responsible professional, the Director of Accounting will be a vital part of our organization. You will be expected to create and improve many processes as needed and work within a collaborative team that works daily to successfully manage the financial aspects of our organization. Through your work within GAAP and Financial Reporting, you will have the ability to influence and direct the business operations and senior management.


    1. Manage the accounting function for the company and its subsidiaries. Plan, organize and supervise the activities of general accounting and all accounting functions including cash management/reconciliation, accounts payable and payroll.
    2. Responsible for managing the monthly general ledger close process.
    3. Oversee finance data management on specific internal management, executive, and external financial reporting. Responsible for reporting all of the financial statements, oversee external accounting, and disclosure requirements, as required for audits and regulatory requirements.
    4. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on issues affecting the company.
    5. Assist in short and strategic and operational planning and implementation.
    6. Oversees the organization’s cost allocations, which support the costs of establishing the accounting principals.
    7. Monitor vendor's construction projects for adherence to budgets and GAAP capitalization standards.
    8. Oversee and support all monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statement closings.
    9. Oversees and manages the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end consolidated financial statements in in accordance with organization policies, GAAP or other regulatory guidelines.
    10. Conduct research and investigate complex accounting matters in accordance with GAAP.
    11. Lead annual year-end audit and tax filing process with external auditors/accountants and record keeping. Planning, organization and coordinating the year-end close process with internal and external auditors.
    12. Manages all regulatory filings and audits as needed.
    13. Prepare and track budget variance versus actual performance.
    14. Evaluate and implement processes to improve internal controls and streamline financial reporting and accounting procedures.
    15. Provide various levels of management with accurate and timely information necessary to make strategic and operating decisions.
    16. Maintain a documented system of financial reporting and accounting policies and procedures.
    17. Recommends improvements to support department goals, i.e. developing plans, priorities and work assignments to achieve department goals.
    18. Provides assistance with developing and implementing specific reports and analyses.
    19. Work with third party management company for outsourced accounting function related to an affiliate to analyze and provide feedback and modifications to monthly financial reporting.
    20. Manages daily employee activities including determining specific work assignments; and monitoring individual staff productivity.
    21. Performs other ad-hoc tasks as necessary.


    1. 7+ years progressive work experience in Accounting, which includes 3+ years in a public accounting firm, preferably with a Big 4 Accounting Firm
    2. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
    3. Experience in the healthcare industry preferred
    4. Experience in managing and development of staff
    5. CPA preferred
