    The Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education Coordinator will provide experienced and knowledgeable support to the Medical Education Manager in building, implementing, and executing AltaMed’s Medical Education Program for Undergraduate and Graduate medical students, in order to support all UME and GME training and workforce development programs. Under the direction of the Medical Education leadership, the Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education Coordinator will assist with the development and day-to-day delivery of an effective Medical Education program that will provide medical education, clinical training, workforce development and mentorship programs, and cultivate partnerships with medical schools, residency programs, healthcare entities, professional associations and funding agencies. Will deliver accurate, timely and high quality services to customers.



    1. Assists the Medical Education Manager with completing the needs assessments of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) and Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) program requirements.
    2. Assist the Medical Education Manager with developing annual plans for GME and UME programs.
    3. Coordinates faculty and preceptors to provide clerkship and training to undergraduate and graduate medical students
    4. Assist the Medical Education Manager with researching and planning effective execution of the Graduate Medical Education program.
    5. Coordinates program evaluations and identifies opportunities to enhance day-to-day operations of the UME and GME programs.
    6. Maintains accurate records, performs data collection and conducts analysis that supports experience of students, residents, and preceptors.
    7. Supports provider engagement and awareness activities to recruit preceptors.
    8. Coordinate recruitment activities for prospective medical students and medical residents.
    9. Supports the Medical Education Manager with partnering with Talent Acquisition to provide information of Talent Ready prospects and support recruitment activities.
    10. Partners with Workforce Development department to coordinate trainee selection, and on-boarding.
    11. Coordinate the site and preceptor assignments of students, and maintain communication with all parties
    12. Assist with building effective and productive partnerships internally and externally in order to receive positive feedback from preceptors and students.
    13. Assists the Medical Education Manager with the development and adherence to the program budget, while maintaining reporting requirements.
    14. Works with the Medical Education Manager in order to maintain effective working relationships with residency programs, student and professional associations, medical schools, healthcare entities, and funding agencies.
    15. Meets program goals as set by the programs policies, procedures, standards, reporting requirements, and deadlines and will assure implementation of the same through data reports that demonstrate a return on investment.
    16. Participates in program audits and site visits, and ensures compliance.
    17. Delivers high quality, accurate, and timely customer services at all times.
    18. Perform all other related duties as assigned.


    1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college of university program in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Administration, School Counseling, Social Work, or other related health or social science field preferred. Equivalent work experience accepted.
    2. Minimum of 1 year of program or project coordination in an Undergraduate and/or Graduate Medical Education.
    3. Experience working with physicians and providers at all levels.
