  • Overview

    Under the direction of the Director of Health Education & Wellness, the Project Manager will be responsible for expansion of health education services in Orange County as permitted by health plan funding and with a very aggressive timeline. The expansion includes exploring uncharted territory for the department and organization including online modalities, video, and text messaging for health education programs and well as developing and implementing a strategy to increase utilization of health education resources as offered by various health plans (i.e. leveraging existing resources). He/she is expected to work with key organizational and department members to meet proposal deliverables including but not limited to: Director of Innovation, Health Ed & Wellness Manager, and Medical and Operational Leadership in Orange County. He/She will plan, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor project completion and budget for complex and multiple projects, and provide overall guidance to department members and contractors in the execution of the strategic proposals.



    1. Effectively leads large, complex and/or multiple project teams dealing with varied content.
    2. Spearhead all contracts, agreements, and processes required to launch digital platforms within Health Education & Wellness
    3. Manages the work of all project participants, including outside consultants and other department staff and ensures that proposal and department plans are aligned with organizational goals and priorities.
    4. Leads or participate in the data analysis process and develop recommendations and action plans.
    5. Collaborates with department and regional leaders to develop strategic plans and demonstrate the return-on-investment for such specialized initiatives in telehealth.
    6. Prepares unbiased, objective information and communicates it directly and effectively to clients
    7. Develops and maintains strong relationships with key clients throughout the organization to proactively identify improvement opportunities and appropriate project work.
    8. Oversees development and consistent application of departmental guidelines and addresses performance issues related to departmental guidelines and project work.
    9. Performs other related duties as assigned.


    1. Bachelor’s degree in business, health care, or related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
    2. Certified Project Management Professional also preferred.
    3. A minimum 4 years of experience required in project management with successful deployment demonstrating measurable positive results.
    4. Knowledge and experience around the implementation of digital health education programs also preferred.
