    This position employs a depth in expertise of data analytics, modeling, machine learning, and visualization methods, tools, and technologies to manage, build and drive the data analytics function for internal reporting and other governance, risk and compliance functions. In collaboration with data engineers, department experts, and senior management, this role designs and executes strategy. This strategy includes developing, implementing, and improving the processes and capabilities to support data driven decision making activities across all business units.


    1. Leads the development of the frameworks, models, tools, processes, visualizations and analysis to ensure data influences decisions at all levels.
    2. Manages report distribution processes and infrastructure
    3. Leads data analytics projects, gathers and analyzes complex and large amounts of data for supporting ongoing audit projects, investigations, management requests, and special projects
    4. Applies technical data/analytical strategies across a wide-range of functional/domain areas
    5. Acts as key resource or consultant to department management, customers, and clients on specific projects or issues by resolving data analytics problems or developing models for data analysis computations
    6. Discusses business reporting requirements with stakeholders. Documents and assembles requirements to generate reports, charts, scorecards, dashboards, forecasts for business use
    7. Determines measures, baselines, tolerances and normal variability for indicators. Able to articulate these concepts and parameters for data presented.
    8. Collaborates with IT and other related operating units on data acquisition and technical analyses
    9. Applies advanced analysis and modeling techniques to frame and define logic to test hypotheses and add insights into findings
    10. Presents and communicates dataset results and procedures performed in a coherent and effective manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
    11. Leads unit testing on new development and functionality changes
    12. Provides project management oversight including: work plans, prioritization, and scheduling of work activities
    13. Oversees issues with reports, including defects in object logic, schema logic, data quality problems and process errors. Understands complete reporting lifecycle to diagnose and mitigate problems
    14. Defines and implement Change Control process and system
    15. Assists Data Governance team in establishing effective Quality Control process
    16. Defines data analytics standards, standardization of tools and technologies
    17. Reviews, update, and create Policies and Procedures to meet compliance, security and auditing requirements.
    18. Leads efforts in streamlining and improving existing data reporting processes, including analysis and recommendations data visualization and reporting tools
    19. Assists with budgeting process
    20. Trains business unit users in ad-hoc report development and supports business unit users in ad-hoc reporting questions
    21. Manages and monitors work items and work assignments of team members.
    22. Support workforce planning and talent acquisition by effectively staffing and hiring diverse talent and evaluate existing team members to raise competencies within the team.
    23. Effectively communicate and interact with staff at all levels, including executive management, throughout the organization.
    24. Perform all other related duties as assigned


    1. Bachelor’s degree required in health, human sciences, statistical sciences, or computer science required. Master’s degree preferred.
    2. 7+ years hands on experience with data processing tools (database querying, Microsoft SQL, scripting, etc)
    3. 5+ years hands on experience as a data scientist or data analytics, using data warehousing tools and data analysis technology, as well as project management tools applied in large scale projects
    4. 3+ years of experience in healthcare required
    5. 3+ years in a people management role required
    6. Data analytics or related certification
