This position is responsible for the overall coordination of business, operational, compliance, and clinical dental activities at one or more of the AltaMed dental locations or outreach units. Works with the clinical dyad partner/Site Dental Director to ensure effective and efficient workflow and operations at the dental site level. Collaborates with the Clinic Administrator, Site Medical Director, corporate support departments, and corporate dental leaders to drive performance and outcomes of organization-wide strategic goals under the Quality, Service, Finance and People categories. Measures performance and progress against goals, identifies trends, and takes action steps to drive performance.

The M.A. II will assist in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures and technical/clerical support services in the clinical setting. He/She will perform this role by building relationships with patients, listening to them and gaining their trust. He/She will also demonstrate compassion and respect and will be proactive in managing patient’s expectations. In addition, the M.A. II will document all specialties in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and assist with more administrative responsibilities that include providing feedback on Back Office processes to the Nursing Supervisor/Manager. Will also assist in achieving department goals and objectives by providing support and guidance to the M.A. team as a mentor and trainer. If working at the Patient Service Center, will provide other duties over the telephone.

Responsible for coordinating activities surrounding “Patient Centered Care”. “Patient Centered Care” activities include (but not limited to) identifying current and new patient populations through risk stratification lists and chronic conditions requiring one on one support in coordinating care activities, support and assist patients to navigate through all the steps in obtaining the necessary and appropriate care.

Under the direction and oversight of the Director, the Project Coordinator II is responsible for the synchronization of all operations involved in the successful completion of a particular project within the Department. Includes maintaining project plans, calendars, dashboards and activities in addition to assisting with the budget and keeping abreast of legal regulations applicable to a project.  

Provides primary care medical services to the patients of AltaMed. Manages assigned patient panel.

Provides Obstetrics and Gynecology medical care to the patients of AltaMed. Delivers care and services aligned with AltaMed’s Team-Based Care Model focused on population health, evidence based medicine, appropriate resource use, and integrated delivery of care. Leverages AltaMed’s Team Based Care Model to ensure all members of the clinic team are practicing at highest scope of practice. Participates as active, engaged member of AltaMed Provider group, including sharing responsibilities in the care of patients, cross-coverage, peer review, provider meetings, CME, and advancing AltaMed as a provider-led organization. Responsible for a clinic panel (empaneled against the clinic) including health outcomes, patient experience and overall patient care (both internal and external). Reports to the Site Medical Director with strong collaboration and oversight by the head of Women’s Health and Regional Medical Director.

Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Behavioral Health Services, the primary function of the Case Manager (CM) is to provide referral management for Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health patient population. The CM I will follow the program’s Scope of Work to achieve the program goals through the screening of patients, referral organization, referral management, appropriate linkage of care and record keeping.  

Under the general supervision and within the regulatory scope of practice, assist in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures, technical and clerical supportive services in the clinic setting.  The M.A. may administer intramuscular, subcutaneous or intra-dermal injections and may perform skin tests, administer oral medication, venipunctures and skin punctures for blood specimens. 

Patient Payment Specialist I is responsible for processing and analyzing Altamed Heath Services and related organization’s Cash Handling Reconciliation Deposit and handle cash according to the Cash Handling Responsibility Agreement. Works with Corporate to automate vendors through electronic fund transfers (EFT). Assists in month end accruals for month end reconciliation.

This position is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) and the dental hygienist(s) in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients at the clinic. The Registered Dental Assistant is also responsible for sterilization, preparation and inventory control of dental instruments, supplies, and for proper infection control of all areas involving patient care.  

Under the supervision of the IT Network Manager, this position is responsible to implement, maintain, and support AltaMed’ s growing network infrastructure, including, but not limited to Firewalls, Switches, Routers and monitoring systems. Additional responsibilities comprise of racking/cabling equipment and assisting other teams, including, but not limited to, Systems, Security, Clinical Applications, and Data Engineering.
